Combining creativity and rigor, Jean Royère’s creations are as expressive as they are exacting, uniting elegance of form, constructive ingenuity and freedom of inspiration. Among the pieces to be shown, the “Forme Libre” table fully embodies this approach: its large, sinuous tabletop breaks absolutely with the classical designs of his day, floating like a wave over three solid, cylindrical legs.

This combination of curves and structure is also seen in the “Trèfle” armchairs, characterized by their backrest in the form of stylized clover leaves. Enveloping and graphic, these armchairs illustrate Royère’s taste for an esthetic that is fluid and full of movement.

Omnipresent in the interior designer’s universe, lighting is represented here by a “Persane” wall light, whose sculptural silhouette evokes a stylized Oriental motif.

Finally, the “Ondulation” coffee table and the “Petites Boules” console table and pair of stools complete the display. Their wavy, wrought-iron bases give a fluidity to the ensemble.

With this selection, Galerie Patrick Seguin showcases the singular world of Jean Royère, both lyrical and elegant.
