Free of all artifice, the resulting aesthetic chimed with the doctrine of the Union of Modern Artists, of which Prouv\u00e9 \u2013 along with <span style=\"color: #000000\"><a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/www.patrickseguin.com\/en\/category\/designers\/lecorbusier\/\">Le Corbusier<\/a><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #000000\"><a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/www.patrickseguin.com\/en\/category\/designers\/pierrejeanneret\/\">Pierre Jeanneret<\/a><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #000000\"><a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/www.patrickseguin.com\/en\/category\/designers\/charlotte-perriand\/\">Charlotte Perriand<\/a><\/span> \u2013 was a founder member. The same principles were applied to the creation of <span style=\"color: #000000\"><a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/www.patrickseguin.com\/en\/category\/designers\/jean-prouve\/furniture-jean-prouve\/\">furniture<\/a><\/span> \u2013 often intended for the public sector \u2013 and\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000\"><a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/www.patrickseguin.com\/en\/category\/designers\/jean-prouve\/architecture-jean-prouve\/\">architecture<\/a><\/span>, which experienced significant growth after World War II.<br \/>\r\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"><a style=\"color: #000000\" href=\"https:\/\/www.patrickseguin.com\/en\/category\/designers\/jean-prouve\/chronology-jean-prouve\/\">Prouv\u00e9<\/a><\/span> is particularly renowned for his innovative applications of new materials, such as bent sheet steel and aluminum, as well as his pursuit of functional rationalization.
