On the occasion of the 2011 FIAC Galerie Patrick Seguin is glad to present for the first time Jean Prouvé’s 8 x 12 meter aluminium Metropole House (Nancy-1949). The Metropole House perfectly illustrates Prouvé’s reseach on demountable architecture and nomadic housing, which he initiated on the eve of the Second World War and continued long after. This study more particularly took shape through the design of the 6×6 and 6×9 meter House, as well as through the Tropical House and the Ferembal House, which was exhibited last year during the 2010 FIAC in the Jardin des Tuileries.
