Metropole aluminum house, 1949

The Metropole House perfectly illustrates Prouvé’s research on demountable architecture and nomadic housing, which he initiated on the eve of the Second World War and continued long after. This study more particularly took shape through the design of the 6×6 and 6×9 meter House, as well as through the Tropical House and the Ferembal Houses.
